The band started life when frontwomen Zoe and Perran Tremewan (guitars/keys) began playing together after forming a friendship when meeting in Cornwall. As sparks of something special arose, the duo were joined by Zoe’s brother Toby White Chambers (drums) to complete the line-up and begin their career as Auction For The Promise Club.
In 2012 the three piece launched onto the music scene with their debut record ‘One’ EP, which was recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios and Cube Recordings and saw the band championed at national radio by the likes of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson as well as support from Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, MTV Hive, XFM and NME Radio.
It saw the band share stages with the likes of Paolo Nutini, Martha Wainwright, Prides and Reverend and The Makers and appear at a number of festivals including Bestival, Boardmasters, The Great Escape, Y Not Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend Showcase and the BBC introducing stage at Looe Festival. The trio also had a once in a lifetime opportunity to headline the Emerging Icons Stage in the Olympic Park for the opening day of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Auction For The Promise Club will be releasing their debut album ‘Silence’ June 9th 2017.
