The band released their debut EP ‘Heritage’ in March 2015 which showcased two singles ‘Higher’ and ‘Heritage’. Off the back of this EP KTI started to stamp their footprint on the UK rock scene by gaining national press from the likes of Kerrang!, Hit The Floor Magazine, BBC Introducing, Punktastic and Total Uprawr. The band also hit the road hard by playing shows with the like of Lonely The Brave, Black Peaks, Holding Absence, Decade, Our Last Night and many more.

After the ‘Heritage’ EP and a lineup change reducing from 4 to 3 people, the band grafted for 2 years of solid writing and recording and taking inspiration from their day to day lives.

In 2016 Kill The Ideal headed to Watford to the home of Lower Than Atlantis’ personal studio to work alongside their guitarist, producer and engineer Ben Sansom on a brand new record. In January 2017 they premiered a new single called ‘Know Your Name’ on the Kerrang radio ‘Fresh Blood’ show where Alex Baker stated “If this is a sign to come from Kill The Ideal then we’re all in for a treat”.

With the release turning plenty of heads the band decided to hold a ‘Secret Venue Gig’ in their hometown of Boston, Lincolnshire. Tickets sold out in 2 weeks from being announced and the event saw KTI pack out an old theatre with a large amount of excited fans.

After following with Know Your Name as a single release, the band was asked to play The Living Daylights’ final show which also resulted in a sell out audience.

After announcing that they have joined forces with Possessive Management, Kill The Ideal have now released a brand new self-titled EP.

The band appeared at 2Q festival on in October alongside some giants including Circa Waves, British Sea Power, The Sherlocks, Gnarwolves and many more. They also be taking part in this year’s Soccer Six Fest alongside The Darkness and Mallory Knox.
