The track received its first play last night on Radio 1 from Huw Stephens, sitting in for Annie Mac, and the lyric video received a world premiere on leading US website, the Daily Beast. 

City and Colour takes a dash of blues-rock inspiration for his brand new single ‘Wasted Love’. Introducing upbeat, edgy guitars, married with soulful piano, this track serves up the perfect summer anthem.

City and Colour will be touring in support of his brand new album with a highly-anticipated return to the UK featuring eight dates, including two night’s at London’s Troxy. City and Colour’s last taste of the UK came back in 2014, with ten stellar dates, including a sold-out show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. The band will be returning to the UK following an 18-date tour of the U.S. at the end of this year.

Recorded at Nashville, Tennessee’s Blackbird Studios, ‘If I Should Go Before You’ was produced by Green with additional production and engineering by Karl “Horse” Bareham.

Unique to this project, the studio players on ‘If I Should Go Before You’ are made up of Green’s trusted touring band: Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, Dead Weather) on bass, Dante Schwebel (Spanish Gold, Dan Aue zrbach) on guitar, Doug MacGregor (Constantines) on drums and Matt Kelly on pedal steel guitar and keys.

‘If I Should Go Before You’ is Green’s fifth release as City and Colour and can be pre-ordered on iTunes HERE or at www.cityandcolour.com. The album follows 2013’s ‘The Hurry and The Harm’, which received widespread critical and commercial praise. The album debuted at #1 on Canada’s Top 200 Chart, #4 in Australia, #16 in the U.S. and #32 in the U.K. - all career highs.

Most recently, in 2014, Green collaborated with international superstar Alecia Moore (aka P!nk) on a new project, entitled You+Me. The duo’s acclaimed debut, ‘rose ave.’ debuted at #4 on the U.S. Top 200 Chart, #1 in Canada, #2 in Australia and #6 in Germany.
