Conor Maynard to heat up this summer’s festivals

Conor Maynard will be setting summer alight with a string of festival appearances across the country. Kicking off at Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park on July 4th, he then drops in for a thrilling set at Thorpe Park’s Island Beats on August 21st and continues with the ultimate pop party Fusion Festival on August 30th. More dates will be announced soon.

Conor was reunited with a host of old friends at Frankie & Benny’s Rays Of Sunshine Concert at the Royal Albert Hall last weekend. He performed a set featuring favourites from his gold-certified, No.1 debut album Contrast including his Top 10 hit ‘Turn Around’ and was joined onstage by the song’s collaborator Ne-Yo to mass hysteria.

Conor also performed his new electro-swing single ‘Royalty’, produced by Labrinth – whose hands on production of 2013’s silver-selling ‘R U Crazy’ saw Conor receive his fifth Top 10 single – and features an exciting new sound explored.

Talking to Metro last week Conor said, “It’s different, quite out of the box compared to anything else in the charts. I keep getting told not to use ‘weird’ but I can’t help it. I didn’t want to have to follow other sounds, I always wanted to do something that stood out and was unique.”
