The emotive acoustic ballad ‘God Of Ocean Tides’ has been described by Under The Gun in the USA as “a haunting bit of finger-picked melancholia that returns to the sound of [the band’s debut album] ‘August And Everything After’… with a hint of a country twang.”
This song follows the release of both ‘Scarecrow’ – accompanied by a video hand-drawn by 3-D chalk artist Chris Carlson – and ‘Palisades Park’ – the epic eight-minute album opener and soundtrack to a superb short film.
All of these tracks are available to download instantly now with the pre-order of Somewhere Under Wonderland on iTunes.
Somewhere Under Wonderland is released on September 15th on Capitol Records, through Virgin EMI in the UK and marks the band’s first original material since Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings in 2008.
The band are currently on the North American leg of their major worldwide tour, which concludes in Los Angeles at the historic Greek Theatre on August 17. The UK and European leg of the tour begins November 1 in Birmingham.
