Don Broco play chaotic house parties ahead of UK headline tour

07/12/15

Warming up for the biggest headline show of their career at Brixton Academy on December 13th, Don Broco went back to their roots to play two tiny shows in fans houses in Bristol and Nottingham this month – with the planned party in Leeds shut down by police for fears of overcrowding from its word-of-mouth news alone.

Don Broco have also revealed two remixes of singles taken from the band’s Top 10 second album Automatic, which entered the Official Album Chart at No.6. Dellux has taken ‘Superlove’ on a deep house tip, which premiered with Clash, while ZIBRA have created an ingenious electro mash-up of ‘Superlove’ and ‘Automatic’, which premiered on Notion.

The Bedford four-piece recently unveiled the video to their latest single ‘Nerve’, featuring the acclaimed British actor Jeremy Irvine. ‘Nerve’ is an epic and moving anthem, featuring some of lead singer Rob Damiani’s most personal lyrics yet. Rob says, “Nerve is a special song to us, the last track we wrote for the album and unlike the others it came together entirely in the studio. Creatively we'd never approached writing this way, which led us to a much rawer Broco sound, and when it came to making the video we wanted to bring this realness to the forefront. That's when we gave our old pal Jeremy a call; he's an incredible actor and really brought the inner turmoil of the song to life. He's also great at beer pong.”
