Frida Sundemo to appear in the new film ‘Kill Your Friends’ and announces new single ‘Heroes’


Swedish alt-pop songstress Frida Sundemo is the captivating starlet at the heart of Kill Your Friends, the highly anticipated feature film about the music industry, based on John Niven’s famous novel. Her new release ‘Heroes’, is the first taste of the film’s long-awaited soundtrack, and premiered on Shortlist who said, “It’s a gloriously euphoric piece of anthemic synth-pop”.

Released on November 6th on the film soundtrack (through Parlophone Records), ‘Heroes’ is a beautiful soaring synth-pop ballad of wide-eyed ambition. Its delectable tones and glacial hills are reminiscent of fellow Scandinavian Robyn and the captivating La Roux.

Frida Sundemo rose to prominence in 2013 with her highly acclaimed Indigo EP and today her highly-praised cuts are in hot demand. Last week Frida’s music featured on the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy with the delicate ‘Keep An Eye On Me’, and her uplifting ‘Starbright’ will premiere tonight on Scream Queens – the new series from creators ofAmerican Horror Story and Glee.

And now stepping into the spotlight Frida Sundemo takes to the big screen next month with a leading role in Kill Your Friends, fronting the A&R-hounded collective The Lazies, where she also delivers three new songs to soundtrack the film. ‘Heroes’ leads, along with the heart-warming ‘Snow’ and the dreamy ‘No Surprises’ in a stunning display from the multi-talented star.

As one of the most sought-after voices of the moment, her breath-taking vocals are set to go stratospheric, with her debut album coming in 2016.
