Frida Sundemo unveils ‘We Are Dreamers’ video

15/12/16

Swedish alt-pop songstress Frida Sundemo has revealed the video for her new single ‘We Are Dreamers’, out now through Cosmos Music.

The video premiered withThe Fader who said,“Frida Sundemo’s ‘We Are Dreamers’ video is an uplifting antidote to a bad week... a surreal visual for the bitter sweet pop track ”

Frida stars as a mesmeric siren of colour within an expansive blank space. As she sings she guides her repressed dreams to dance, twist, turn and burst free from their restraints in ‘We Are Dreamers’. The single is an anthem of hope and positivity in these troubled times, and with its euphoric synths that soar high, ‘We Are Dreamers’ is fresh with romantic optimism. On the video Frida says,”It was a great experience shooting the video. Steph and Francis (directors) are such visionaries and I felt very privileged getting to work with so dedicated creators. Also, I felt lucky being surrounded by eight amazing dancers. In that way my autonomous body didn’t have to follow any instructions, but still look like it was part of a choreography.”

‘We Are Dreamers’ follows last year’s hugely acclaimed single ‘Heroes’, which featured in the Hollywood movieKill Your Friends. Frida made her big screen debut in the film with a leading role alongside Nicholas Hoult and James Corden, providing three songs in total for the soundtrack. Her irresistible music was also included within episodes ofGrey’s AnatomyandScream Queenslast year.

Frida originally rose to prominence in 2013 with her highly acclaimedIndigoEP, which saw her build a dedicated fanbase across the globe. Now signed to Cosmos Music, her airy gleaming sounds are set to go stratospheric in 2017.
