Rixton have just flown to the United States – where they have already achieved huge success – to embark on their first-ever North American headline tour, taking in Boston, Toronto, Seattle, Washington, Denver, San Francisco, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Saint Louis, while their shows at New York’s Irving Plaza and LA’s El Rey Theater have already sold out.
However British fans have no need to fear, as the band announced their biggest UK headline tour, taking them to 13 cities this autumn. It will be an event not to be missed as their brilliant performance recently at Bush Hall proved. The Times declared in its 4-star review of that show:
“Rixton’s songs tread a clever line between instantly infectious teen pop and the more grown-up retro soul and reggae-lite sounds of Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars… The high-spirited singer Jake Roche, the youngest member at 21, is a funny natural frontman… the falsetto-sung ‘We All Want The Same Things’ was a stompalong anthem built for arenas and performed brilliantly by Roche – his back to the crowd, his arms aloft – as though he were already on a stage that size.”
The UK tour dates are as follows:
