Amy Lawton channels the likes of Suzanne Vega, Alanis Morrisette and early Taylor Swift. Multi-platinum selling hit songwriter Matty Benbrook (Paolo Nutini, Jack Savoretti, Dido) discovered the now critically acclaimed singer and together they created ‘Undone’ alongside Pete Maher (U2, Lana Del Rey, Jack White) who mastered the track.
Amy has continued to release stunning music including the singles ‘Hurts Like Paradise’ and ‘Don’t Bring Louise’, garnering support from the likes of The Times, 1883 Magazine, CelebMix and many more along the way.
Amy first honed her craft on the London live scene, performing at many famous venues in the city such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Troubadour, The Bedford and The Social among others. She has also played as support to Jack Savoretti at Cadogan Hall and performed at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
Ever since childhood Amy has been creating rhymes, poems and short stories. For the past six years she has been crafting these ideas into song, writing with the likes of Dee Adam (Diana Vickers, Newton Faulkner), Jess Sherman (Ward Thomas), Pam Sheyne (Christina Aguilera, Corinne Bailey Rae) and Paul Herman (Dido).
