The band also toured Ireland with Ánie Cahill and sold out headline shows across London.
Ferris & Sylvester were the first signing to the new publishing company Painted Word Music from the legendary producer Youth (Paul McCartney, The Verve, Crowded House). Their debut Yellow Line EP was recorded at Youth’s Space Mountain Studios in Spain. Giving focus on their stunning harmonies, Ferris & Sylvester tell stories of everyday life. Dense with meaning and implication, their candid lyrics lure the listener into making stirring similarities with their own experiences.
Fast forward to 2019, and Ferris & Sylvester have been quick to make it their most important and exciting year yet. The band completed their first ever UK headline tour, which saw them sell out the entire nine-date run across the country – a testament to their rapidly growing and expectant fanbase.
They played their first ever shows in the US and headed out to Texas to play a number of dates throughout SXSW festival. They proved themselves one of the hottest tipped artists of the week, featuring in NPR’s ‘Austin 100’ list, while also spotlighted by Mandatory, Austin City Limits and many more.
Ferris & Sylvester are one of the UK’s hardest working live bands and continue to play more shows across the world, including a UK and European tour with Billy Lockett, the Under The Apple Tree UK tour with Wildwood Kin and a number of high profile festivals throughout the summer including Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, Black Deer Festival, Belladrum Festival, Boardmasters and many more.
