The video premiered with CelebMix who said,“The lyrics to the track and the music video correlate exceptionally well, with the video capturing Amy walking around London, following the story of two lost lovers, with their paths heartbreakingly missing each other by only a matter of minutes.”
The song is one of heartfelt unrequited love, featuring beautiful harmonies among its sincere country pop.
Regarding the single Amy says,“‘Don’t Bring Louise’ is a true story, about a real girl that my ex-boyfriend dated. I started writing the song when I heard her name for the first time. I’d never met her but as soon as I heard her name I started building a picture of her and the lyrics started to form in my head. It’s about a feeling that gets reignited the first time you hear that the other person has moved on, even if you thought you were over it.”
Continuing about the video she says,“Filming the video was one of the funniest experiences I’ve had so far on a shoot. One of my friends was in the video, we spent most of the day filming in a closed pub and we had a great time. I wanted to stick to the theme of shooting in East London and all my videos now are filmed in the same area where we record the songs. The nighttime bit ended up not being very planned; we just went to St Paul’s at night and walked around finding random places to shoot. It was cold but worth it."
‘Don’t Bring Louise’ follows the release of her highly praised singles ‘Hurts Like Paradise’ and ‘Undone’. Since emerging last year Amy has received support from the likes of The Times, 1883 Magazine and many more.
A burgeoning name on the UK live scene, Amy recently completed her first ever tour last year, where she played 19-dates across the country. She also performed at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Amy has more live dates to be announced soon.
While still fresh-faced, Amy comes armed with sharpened experience well beyond her years and is proving herself to be an exciting new name on the singer/songwriter scene.
