Gabrielle Aplin & JP Cooper release gorgeous 'Losing Me' piano version

Gabrielle Aplin has released a beautiful live piano version of her new single and collaboration with JP Cooper, ‘Losing Me’.

The new song is the coming together between two of the most distinctive and honest vocals in pop music, no better showcased than in the live piano version where the stunning vocals and touching lyrical themes are showcased in delicate intimacy.

‘Losing Me’ was released last month and became quick to prove a hit across the board. The song has achieved over 6.4 million streams on Spotify alone, while the gorgeous official video has had over a million views.

The single has been added to the Radio 2 B-List and is also receiving support from Radio 1. The pair performed the song live on Sunday Brunch where they featured as guests throughout the show.

‘Losing Me’ is taken from Gabrielle Aplin’s forthcoming third album Dear Happy, due for release on January 17th via AWAL and her own label Never Fade Records.

Dear Happy is an uplifting pop record that chronicles Gabrielle’s life, and the experiences and cultures she has been inspired by whilst touring and travelling the world over the past couple of years. Gabrielle has found great influence from her time spent in Japan, a country that she has visited and toured in six times, which is reflected in the album.

The bright pop song ‘Kintsugi’ celebrates strength and clearer perspective over past struggles and pays homage to the Japanese art-form meaning ‘precious scars’. Meanwhile the magnificent video for previous single ‘Nothing Really Matters’ is steeped in Asian influence and is an artistic representation of the varying degrees of mental state that come with self-acceptance.

Gabrielle Aplin has worked with producers Mike Spencer (Tom Walker, Zara Larsson, Years & Years), Lostboy (Dua Lipa, Becky Hill, Sigala), The Barn Productions (Lewis Capaldi, Dean Lewis) and 5YA (Sigrid) on the new album.

Dear Happy features some of Gabrielle’s most personal lyrical moments alongside a breadth of music and influences not yet heard from her before. The record displays the wonderful diversity of Gabrielle Aplin as both a pop star and songwriter in 2019.

Whether she is singing a stripped back piano ballad or a huge pop song, her lyrical content and emotive vocal delivery remain at the forefront of her music.

2019 has also seen Gabrielle become an ever more prominent figure in promoting positivity and wellbeing for the wider world throughout her work today. She is a keen advocate for mental health awareness, animal rights and the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, which is highlighted in her vegan cooking series Food With Friends.

Gabrielle Aplin has been announced as the leading face of a special music partnership with H&M to support independent music artists and rising talent, whilst rewarding loyal H&M fans with exclusive events.

Gabrielle has also co-designed the first ever limited-edition collection for ‘H&M Music’, which will be available later this month. The capsule collection will include two t-shirts, a hoodie and a sweatshirt, all made from 100% organic cotton.
