Regarding the release MC Hilts says, “‘Still Here’ is our motto and it summarises an approach to life that we believe in. A room could be full of people who have lived vastly different lives, each with their own trials and tribulations. But the one thing they all have in common is that no matter where they’ve come from, or where they are going, they are ‘still here’, right now, in this moment. This phrase is a plea to forget about the past, future and everything out of your control and instead enjoy the here and now.”
The Still Here EP features brand new tracks including the brassy bass-heavy bop ‘Pressure’ and the imposing title track, which pulls together touches of garage, grime, jazz and hip hop. It also features previously released singles including the smooth and soulful ‘Dark Side’, as well as biting grime and sharp jazz track ‘Lonely Days’.
To celebrate the release of the Still Here EP, Project Hilts have announced two headline shows in the key cities that have proved pivotal in their influence and formation. They will headline Leeds’ HiFi Club with a free entry show on September 19th, followed by a headline show at Colours, London on November 17th. Tickets are on sale now via TicketWeb.
The debut EP sees Project Hilts primed and ready to make a huge statement this year as they prove to be a unique commanding force crafting a sound truly their own.
