To accompany the track Maja writes an open letter to the season:

“Hi summer! Before u came, in June, I was pretty miserable and heart broken.

With your peach sky & cotton candy clouds, u gave me freckles, layed me down in the grass telling me ”everything will be ok…” We got real tight and did everything together.

Parties and cheap champagne, sunrays and salty oceans, bare feet and flirts, bicycle rides and skinny dipping, festivals and road trips, space buns and pink lips, watermelon and daisies, never ending days and nights.

U made everything so easy for a while. Thanks for saving me. XOXO

The video features Maja enjoying the simple pleasures of the summer months, dancing in the sunshine on rooftops, picking daises and sipping on cocktails.

‘Saved By The Summer’ follows the release of Maja’s tearaway debut EP Come Companion, which has clocked up well over 5 MILLION plays on Spotify. She’s also received high profile acclaim from the likes of Noisey, Popjustice, NYLON, Stereogum, Clash, Line Of Best Fit, The 405 and many more.

Most recently Maja was the voice behind Kygo’s latest hit ‘Kids In Love’, while she has also been playing with the likes of Tove Lo, Seinabo Sey, First Aid Kit and has had her music featured within the Teen Wolf series.

Maja Francis is all about wearing her feelings on her sleeve, while making songs equally as reminiscent of Kate Bush as they are Robyn. She’s not afraid to show emotions and her true colours.

In the world of Maja Francis, to be vulnerable is to be powerful. In her world it’s ok to not be ok and, as Maja presents her mantra “Wear your feelings like a tiara,” she sets the precedent as a princess of pop to be reckoned with.

“Killer pop panache meets high fashion fabulousness”

“Francis takes her audience on a journey through a wonderland of experiences”
