Blackout Problems announce new album / release new single

BLACKOUT PROBLEMS have released their brand new single ‘PUZZLE’, the first song to be taken from their forthcoming album RIOT out February 23rd via Sony Music and available to pre-order here.

‘PUZZLE’ not only signifies a musical evolution for the acclaimed German rock band, but also serves as a poignant farewell to their former quartet configuration. The introspective lyrics from frontman Mario Radetzky transform into a personal diary entry, chronicling the challenging yet liberating decision to sever ties with a toxic friendship—a narrative that resonates with us all.

"We start at the end. The end where so much began,” Mario explains, “Low points are known to have a certain kind of magic. From the bottom, we started again and swam to the surface. Our music is still my diary. Listening to it, you will learn more about me than I would ever tell you – even in the best conversation. So go ahead, dig through my soul and get to know what ups and downs have shaped us within the last three years. ‘PUZZLE’ is the beginning. "That's the f. end of us."

Through the sombre notes and introspective words, 'PUZZLE' finds its unique and magical charm within the depths of its emotional landscape. It's an invitation to explore the beauty that can emerge from life's low points, all wrapped in the captivating style of taut rock and powerful melancholic electronics which provide a rich and emotional journey kickstarting their next chapter.

BLACKOUT PROBLEMS will be celebrating the release of ‘PUZZLE’ live this week as they kick off their UK tour with NOAHFINNCE tonight (19th) at Brighton’s Concorde 2 before performing a further five dates across the country.

The band have further forthcoming live dates with ENTER SHIKARI in February 2024. Having supported the UK rock band earlier this year in London, BLACKOUT PROBLEMS have now been invited on their European tour which coincides with the release of their highly anticipated RIOT album.
