Liz Cass releases new single 'Map Of A Human Heart

Liz Cass has released her thought-provoking new single ‘Map Of A Human Heart’. She will donate the royalties from the release to Medical Aid for Palestinians - https://www.map.org.uk/

The emotive, introspective synth-pop track explores the personality traits that cause us to triumph or struggle respectively and the strength of the human psyche that enables us to bounce back.

I wrote this song about the feeling of being misunderstood and personal ups and downs that have been sharply put into perspective by the harrowing scenes we are bearing witness to in Palestine,” Liz says. “In any kind of conflict, there are reasons why the opposing sides have reached a certain point. I imagine a map of the human heart - one we could share that reveals the terrain of each sides experience. In the end we are all human beings trying to be happy and at peace. We must try to understand each other to be able to move forward and resolve conflict at any level.”

‘Map Of A Human Heart’ is the second single to be taken from Liz’s forthcoming album of the same name due for release in 2024.

It follows the scorching pop track ‘Too Hot’ which was released to great praise this summer. Support came from Radio 1’s Future Pop, while Liz was championed as a FAULT Magazine cover star, selected as Record Of The Week by Record Of The Day and highlighted in Spotify’s New Music Friday UK among a wealth of further praise.

Liz Cass released her debut album The Words to great acclaim last year, the stunning alt-pop record captured a pivotal moment for Liz, playing as a process of healing.

The album received a 4/5 nod from The Times dubbing it “a smart alternative pop debut”, Clash praised her “refined, finessed electronic pop” and it received further high profile editorial support from The Independent, Notion, Noctis, Wonderland, Retro Pop, Ones To Watch and many more. Its singles, including the likes of ‘Near Miss’, ‘Confessional’ and ‘Something Real’, proved hits with radio achieving multiple plays from Radio 1, 6Music and BBC Introducing.

With the release of her second album next year Liz Cass will continue to prove an important new name for the UK pop scene and beyond in 2024.
